  • The Cats of Bangkok – Guest Post by William

When visiting Thailand last year, it was my third time in Asia. From what I’ve seen during that trip along with my time in Japan and also everything you can research online – you come to the conclusion that the treatment of animals and wildlife is a very mixed bag across Asia.

  • Bangkok Trilogy: Part 3 – People, Graffiti and Another Temple

As I already mentioned in my previous blog posts, I am very shy when it comes to taking photos of people without them noticing. People in Bangkok truly inspired me and I felt the urge to try and take some nice portraits, but I was seriously struggling with the task. The secret is simple (in theory): just be very quick. Because this district was quite far away, we had to rely on some other means of transportation besides our feet. So let’s stop for a moment and talk about an average tourist’s chances for not being ripped off while getting to the chosen destination. Második nap Bangkok üzleti negyede felé vettük az irányt, ugyanis itt található a legtöbb bevásárlóközpont meg utcai vásár.…

Bangkok Trilogy: Part 1 – Temples, Terrapins and Monsoon

I think writing about our adventures in Bangkok is almost as difficult as trying to read its long name out loud breathlessly. In Thai language Bangkok is also referred to as ‘Krung Thep Maka Nakhon’ or ‘Krung Thep Mahanakhon Amon Rattanakosin Mahinthara Ayuthaya Mahadilok Phop Noppharat Ratchathani Burirom Udomratchaniwet Mahasathan Amon Piman Awatan Sathit Sakkathattiya Witsanukam Prasit’ which in English means ‘The city of angels, the great city, the residence of the Emerald Buddha, the impregnable city (unlike Ayutthaya) of God Indra, the grand capital of the world endowed with nine precious gems, the happy city, abounding in an enormous Royal Palace that resembles the heavenly abode where reigns the reincarnated…
